Building a Better Beaumont Dog Park
Projected Opening Fall(ish) 2021
Rosco really, really wanted a bigger, better Beaumont dog park and many human and canine Beaumont dog park supporters had been barking about it for a long time. So, like any good boy would, he threw his collar in the ring when the writ dropped in March.
Rosco loves balls, chasing balls, treatos, and new friends. He's very excited for a new dog park beside the baseball diamonds so there are more balls to catch and he's proud he was able to advocate for an additional eight acres to be added for all the puppers to enjoy.
Held in the spring of 2021, Beaumont Barks: Election 2021, was a positive advocacy campaign to provide Beaumont City Council with then support they would need to ensure adequate recreation space was allotted within the West Side Recreation area - an exciting addition to the town of Beaumont.
The new dog park is projected to open in the Fall of 2021. It will feature a four acre landscaped area with trails, broken up into two smaller and larger parks. As well, there will be an additional eight acre fenced natural area for dogs and humans to enjoy opening later in 2022.
